MEGAPOLITANPOS.COM: Jakarta -WPO West Java Region, under the leadership of HE. Deden Suganjar, SE, has achieved remarkable success with the PEACE ACADEMY Mawardah program in North Sumatra, empowering communities through literacy and peace initiatives. I hope this milestone inspires other regions to follow suit, spreading the impact across Indonesia, from Sumatra to Papua. As President of the World Peace Organization, Dr. Bambang Herry Purnomo, SH, MH, plays a pivotal role in fostering global peace and education. Let's continue to work together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people everywhere.
In line with this initiative, the Reading Aloud Workshop 2025: Enhancing Children's Literacy through Reading Activities was recently held in Medan, North Sumatra. Mawardah, a WPO West Java Region school under supervision in North Sumatra, successfully organized the "Reading Aloud" workshop at TBM Setara Lubuk Kertang. This activity aimed to improve children's literacy through interactive and enjoyable reading aloud activities.
Mawardah served as a resource person, discussing effective reading aloud strategies to enhance children's literacy skills. Participants learned how to select books suitable for children's age and interests, as well as techniques for reading aloud that can improve vocabulary and imagination. Arya Sukma Bayanata, SE, from WPO West Java Region, as the supervisor of Mawardah, supports this initiative to raise awareness about the importance of literacy and reading aloud skills among children. By doing so, children can become better prepared to face future challenges and possess improved literacy skills.
